Diamond embedded electroless nickel coating creates a micro-bite between the flex plate surfaces
Significant friction increase protects your flex plate from slipping
Allows handling of much higher loads and bigger horsepower numbers
Recommended for high output and heavy duty applications

You ask a lot from your flex plate. The forces they're put under are extreme and in high performance applications the flex plate can slip; even with correctly installed and torqued bolts! It only takes a small amount movement for the bolts to loosen and allow the flex plate to oscillate against the crankshaft causing costly and catastrophic damage to both parts. BD Diamond Bite Shims with a diamond embedded electroless nickel coating create a micro-bite between the flex plate surfaces giving a significant friction increase. This friction increase stops your flex plate from slipping, allowing it to handle the much higher torque loads expected from a diesel engine. Recommended for high output and heavy duty Cummins 1994-up 5.9L/6.7L applications.
