The Tier One Stage 1 6L90 Transmission can handle up to 600HP, which lets you use aggressive custom tunes and even mild supercharger upgrades V8-powered Silverado and Sierra 2500 or 3500 trucks. The Tier One Stage 1 6L90 Transmission features a bunch of fixes for common 6L90 transmission issues, as well as performance upgrades that allow the transmission to reliably handle more power and torque than stock. The heart of the Stage 1 6L90 is the TransGo performance valve body kit that upgrades key components of the stock 6L90 valve body to generate a ton more line pressure than the stock valve body which improves fluid flow, clutch engagement, lubrication, and cooling throughout the transmission. We replace the stock torque converter with a single-disc torque converter with a billet cover that's far less likely to suffer cracking and burn-up than stock at high power levels. Each Stage 1 transmission comes standard with OE-style Borg Warner clutches to replace worn-out stock clutches and win you back excellent levels of engagement and performance. Tier One also includes a new OEM front center support bushing to help prevent walking issues. Tier One rounds out our Stage 1 6L90 with a new lube dam, new bell housing, and new OEM filter to replace common wear items the 6L90s that could become issues down the line.

During Tier One’s build of your 6L90 Stage 1 Transmission, we go over every inch of its internal components to guarantee you excellent functionality, great shifting, and awesome reliability. All parts and components are disassembled and cleaned from our OEM cores to ensure your new 6L90 transmission is free from contaminants and other debris. We carefully inspect your transmission’s planetary geartrain for damage before fully speccing all your bearings and washers for endplay. The included rebuild kit includes new seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it’s installed on your Silverado or Sierra 2500 or 3500.

All valve body solenoids are carefully tested to ensure flawless operation. After final assembly of the transmission itself, we put it through a complete air-check to find potential leaks before a final inspection and shipping out.

Core charge: this transmission carries a $2000.00 core charge. The core charge will be refunded to you in whole or in part once Tier One receives your stock core, inspects it, and finds it in acceptable condition.
