Built 68RFE Transmission for Ram Cummins Builds Destined for the Track or Dyno Competitions with 1000HP or More
If you're going big or going home with your awesome 2007.5-2018 Ram 6.7L Cummins build, you're going to need a 68RFE transmission that's built to handle absolutely titanic levels of horsepower and torque. The Tier One Competition All Out 68RFE transmission was designed from the ground up for high-powered Cummings drag racing and dyno competition builds that make ridiculous levels of power. The Tier One Competition 68RFE transmission can handle applications of over 1000 horsepower, letting you stack massive compound turbos, oversized fuel injectors, nitrous or water-meth systems, and any other bolt-on part you can get onto your fully-built 6.7L Cummins racing or competition truck. Each Tier One Competition All Out features entirely overhauled internals with a huge array of high-strength billet parts that can handle the strain of high horsepower Cummins builds, and the brutal forces that the transmission is bound to encounter during hard launches and acceleration on the drag strip. On top of the internal components, the Competition 68RFE transmission also includes a high-performance torque converter and billet flex plate that keep your 6.7L Cummins racing build in great shape while you zip down the 1/4 mile or tear apart your competition at your local dyno day. The Tier One Competition All Out 68RFE Transmission is the ultimate performance transmission for your race truck or custom diesel dragster, giving you the edge and power-holding your build needs to crush your opponents.
Includes High-Strength Billet Transmission Components to Handle 1000 Horsepower or More
Tier One's Competition All Out 68RFE built transmissions completely overhaul your Ram's stock 68RFE with a full range of extremely strong and reliable external and internal transmission parts that can handle nearly whatever power levels you throw at it. Starting outside, the Tier One Competition 68RFE transmission comes with a billet steel flex plate and a SunCoast Billet Triple-Disc torque converter that work together to transfer and hold huge levels of power and feed it into the transmission itself. The Competition transmission includes a billet maraging steel input shaft that's up to 30% stronger than standard 300M billet steel shafts to prevent breakage under huge horsepower loads and aggressive off-the-line launches. A billet Revmax XR Clutch Drum is included and holds more clutches than stock for better power transfer, while also being far stronger to handle shifting and clamping pressures under load. Each Competition 68RFE transmission comes with a billet steel center support that resists getting gouged by the clutches while under load, as well as a billet OD clutch hub that features a one-piece construction that handles high power levels more effectively than stock. Tier One includes a billet 4C spring retainer that prevents walkout when you're running huge power or launching hard at the track. Each transmission also includes billet 4C and 2C pistons to help prevent piston failure and shifting problems under load. The Competition transmission comes with a billet, rollerized sprag that's far stronger than stock and handles hard shifting and launches much more effectively than stock. Each 68RFE Competition Transmission is built around a Tier One billet valve body that resists flex and features deep worm tracks that offer excellent levels of fluid flow for cooler operating temperatures. The billet valve body is fitted with billet accumulators and a bonded separator plate to both handle load and prevent cross-leaks. A Performance Rebuild Kit comes with each Competition Transmission that includes 20 overdrive clutches, 5 2C clutches, and 5 4C clutches to increase the clutch count over stock to handle big-time power. The 68RFE Competition Transmission also comes with a deep transmission pan to increase fluid capacity and improve cooling. For good measure, Tier One throws in a new OEM line sensor and solenoid pack to ensure proper operation. The Competition All Out Transmissions are topped off with new gaskets and seals before being air-checked for potential leaks.
Fully Overhauled 68FRE Transmission for Excellent Reliability
During our build of your 68RFE Competition All-Out transmission, we here at Tier One go over every millimeter of its internal components to guarantee excellent function and reliability. All parts are disassembled and cleaned from our OEM cores to ensure your new 68RFE transmission is free from contaminants and other debris. We carefully inspect your transmission's planetary gear train for damage before fully speccing all bearings and washers for endplay. The original transmission pump is flat-sanded, checked for proper clearances, and vacuum-tested. The valve body is likewise flat-sanded and its solenoids thoroughly inspected for better than OEM function, and we replace the OEM accumulator plate to avoid potential codes and issues down the road. Each transmission is also fitted with a TIG-welded planetary pinions. The performance rebuild kit includes new Borg Warner clutches, seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it's installed on your Ram 2500 or Ram 3500.
Thorough Testing of the Valve Body and Entire Transmission Before Shipping
We here at Tier One take pride in every built 68RFE transmission we manufacture for the Ram 6.7L Cummins trucks. To make sure that you get a transmission that's as tough as your truck, Tier One puts both the valve bodies and the entire assembled transmission through rigorous testing to ensure you get the reliability you need for heavy towing and hauling applications with your 6.7L Cummins diesel. Before the assembly of the valve body, it goes through flat-sanding vacuum-testing. All valve body solenoids are carefully tested to ensure flawless operation. After assembly of the valve body, it goes through rigorous dyno-testing to ensure proper fluid flow, line pressures, and solenoid operation. After final assembly of the transmission itself, we put it through a complete air-check to find potential leaks before putting the entire transmission on our in-house transmission dyno to ensure proper operation, performance, and power-holding.
