The Tier One Stage 2 4R100 Transmission features a ton of high-strength and high-performance upgrades that allow you to use upgraded turbos, oversized injectors, exhaust upgrades, aggressive tuning, and a whole suite of bolt-on parts on your 7.3L Powerstroke or Triton V10 build without your transmission letting you down. The Stage 2 4R100 transmission can handle up to 550 horsepower and is right at home stomping on the street, ripping around off-road, pulling extremely heavy trailers and fifth wheels, or tearing it up at your local sled pull. Every Tier One Stage 2 Transmission features high-strength performance upgrades that allow it handle a bunch more power than your stock 4R100 transmission, as well as OE-replacement components to help improve its reliability and keep your awesome Super Duty build on the road and kicking ass for years to come. The Stage 2 4R100 Transmission starts out with a billet torque converter that's far more resistant to warping and cracking under load than stock. The torque converter feeds into a billet input shaft made out of 300M steel that is much stronger than the factory cast steel input shaft and resistant to both twisting and shearing when placed under high levels of load. The transmission also comes with a 300M billet steel intermediate shaft that can handle the strain of shifting at increased power levels. The Stage 2 Transmission is built around a high-pressure Tier One valve body that's fitted with a TransGo Tugger Kit which features a new calibration plate, springs, valves, snap rings, and seals that all work together to deliver accurate shifting and improved fluid flow to the transmission's critical components when under load. Tier One upgrades the Stage 2 transmission clutches to performance HD clutches with improved friction materials for better power-holding and performance under load. Each Stage 2 transmission receives a master overhaul kit with new seals, gaskets, O-rings, and hardware to ensure that all the transmission's potentially wearable parts are replaced for ultimate reliability. To prevent the common center support failure in the stock 4R100, Tier One installs a new center support with custom machining and a new center support snap ring that prevents the support from getting beaten to death against the transmission's internal lugs. Every Stage 2 4R100 transmission comes with new rear, intermediate, and overdrive Sprag clutches, as well as a new intermediate band to further improve long-term reliability. To fix a common source of leaks, Tier One includes an ATS Billet Dipstick tube that features a two-piece billet aluminum design with built-in seals. The 4R100 Stage 2 Transmission is rounded out by a deep, cast aluminum transmission pan that has more fluid capacity than stock and improves cooling over the stock pan, as well as an OE-style fluid filter.

All parts and components are disassembled and cleaned from our OEM cores to ensure your new 4R100 transmission is free from contaminants and other debris. We carefully inspect your transmission’s planetary geartrain for damage before fully speccing all your bearings and washers for endplay. The included rebuild kit includes new seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it’s installed on your Ford Super Duty F250 or F350 truck.
Thorough Testing of the Valve Body and Entire Transmission Before Shipping

To make sure you get a built 4R110 transmission that’s as tough as your truck, Tier One puts the valve bodies and entire assembled transmissions through rigorous testing to ensure you get the reliability you need for heavy towing and hauling applications with your 7.3L Powerstroke diesel or Triton V10. All valve body solenoids are carefully tested to ensure flawless operation. After assembly of the valve body, it goes through rigorous dyno-testing to ensure proper fluid flow, line pressures, and solenoid operation. After final assembly of the transmission itself, we put it through a complete air-check to find potential leaks before a final inspection and shipping out.
