4R100 Billet Input Shafts
One of the 4R100 transmission's biggest weaknesses is the stock input shaft. The OEM input shaft is made out of cast steel and is a fairly thin diameter, and when you add a whole bunch of horsepower and torque to your 7.3L Powerstroke build, the factory input has a bad habit of cracking, spiral fracturing, or even completely shearing in two. Tier One's selection of 4R100 billet input shafts are far stronger than the factory input shaft, allowing you to add aggressive tuning, big turbos, fuel system upgrades, and a full suite of bolt-on parts to your Powerstroke without the input shaft letting you down. These input shafts are made out CNC-machined billet steel, which gives them far more torsional strength than the stock input shafts. These billet input shafts can withstand huge power, the hard lockup of multi-disc torque converters, and aggressive applications both on and off the road.
