The 5.9L Cummins under the hood of your 2003-2007 Ram 2500 or 3500 can throw down a bunch of extra power with only a few mods, but that doesn't mean your stock 48RE valve body is ready to handle it. The Tier One High Pressure 48RE valve body features just enough upgrades to handle more horsepower and torque than stock, all while delivering short, clean shifts that will make your awesome Ram 2500 or 3500 build feel like a whole new truck. Our 48RE High Pressure Valve Body drops right into place of your Ram's stock 48RE valve body, and each one is carefully assembled and tested to ensure flawless operation on your 5.9L Cummins Ram, even if you're running up to 450 horsepower from tuning, exhaust modifications, and bolt-on parts.

Tier One designed our 48RE High Pressure Valve Body from the ground up to get your truck fast, precise shifting and just enough power-holding to handle basic modifications and increased power levels. Tier One outfits every 48RE Valve Body with a TransGo shift kit that comes with new valves, springs, and plates that all help to ensure quick shifting while reducing the chances of common 48RE failures and improving clutch torque-holding capability. Tier One includes both a heavy-duty transducer and a new transducer harness to improve reliability. The HD Transducer is manufactured with a brass base instead of plastic, making it more capable of handling increased power and load. The HD governor included with each valve body is made out of steel instead of plastic to likewise improve its survivability under high loads and horsepower. Tier One rounds off valve body with an OEM servo that keeps shift points and timing near-stock, OE-style solenoids, and a new filter. Every 48RE valve body is flat-sanded and its solenoids tested for better-than-OEM function. After final assembly, the valve body is tested on our in-house valve body dyno to ensure optimal function before it's shipped out.

Comes with OEM Servo: this version of Tier One's 48RE valve body comes with a factory Chrysler servo that keeps stock shift points and timing near-stock. A version of this valve body with a
Sonnax servo that holds more power with more positive shifting and longer 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd gear timing is also available.
For 2003-2007 Ram 2500 & 3500 Only: this valve body will only fit 2003-2007 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks that came from the factory with a 48RE transmission. If you have a 2007.5 Ram built after July 2007 with a 6.7L Cummins, please check out our
