Provides extra durability and cooling when towing heavy with your Ram 2500 or 3500
The stock 68RFE helping to power your 2019-2024 Ram Cummins handle street driving and light towing just fine, but if you're towing at the edge of your truck's GVWR or using some mild Cummins tuning to help you out, the stock 68RFE gets very unhappy very fast. Tier One's Tow-All 68RFE transmission for 2019-2024 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks is built from the ground up to handle heavy and consistent towing and light performance tuning. This complete Ram transmission features heavier-duty internals than stock, as well as a deeper transmission pan to both hold more fluid and keep the transmission running cooler. While this version of 68RFE doesn't hold as much power as Tier One's other transmissions, it's still a perfect choice for anyone looking to shore up their Cummins towing rig against possible problems down the road or as an uprated stock replacement if you happened to pop your factory transmission while towing or hauling.
Comes with Precision Billet Twin-Disc Converter, Deep Pan, Billet Accumulators, and New Hardware
Tier One builds each of their 68RFE Tow-All transmissions from OEM 68RFE transmission cores that are thoroughly cleaned and inspected for damage or excessive wear before being used in our Tow-All transmission builds. We include a new
Precision Billet Twin-Disc Torque Converter with every Tow-All transmission build to both improve lockup and spread the load from heavy towing over more surface area. The deeper cast aluminum transmission pan holds more fluid than stock and helps keep the running temperatures down when you're towing heavy. Each Tow-All 68RFE transmission comes with a Tier One high pressure valve body that more effectively routes fluid throughout the transmission. This updated build includes a
68RFE Switch Valve Repair Kit and a
Billet Accumulator Kit to prevent wear and leakage common in stock units. Tier One also includes a billet 4C spring retainer and an
upgraded OD/UD pressure plate snap ring to help prevent walk-out and premature failures. We throw in a new OEM pressure sensor and a new
19+ Solenoid Assembly to ensure optimal transmission function. The Tow-All transmissions are topped off with new seals and gaskets before being air-checked for leaks.
Fully Overhauled 68RFE Transmission for Excellent Reliability
During our build of your 68RFE Tow-All transmission, we here at Tier One go over every millimeter of its internal components to guarantee excellent function and reliability. All parts are disassembled and cleaned from our OEM cores to ensure your new 68RFE transmission is free from contaminants and other debris. We carefully inspect your transmission's planetary gear train for damage before fully spec'ing all bearings and washers for endplay. The original transmission pump is flat-sanded, checked for proper clearances, and vacuum-tested. The valve body is likewise flat-sanded and its solenoids thoroughly inspected for better than OEM function. We install a new
Laser Separator Plate (Late 2019+) and a new Accumulator Cover Plate to avoid potential codes and issues down the road. Each transmission is also fitted with TIG-welded planetary pinions. The performance overhaul kit includes new Borg Warner frictions (LR, Reverse, 2C, 4C, UD, OD), seals, gaskets, filters, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it's installed on your Ram 2500 or Ram 3500.
Thorough Testing of the Valve Body and Entire Transmission Before Shipping
We here at Tier One take pride in every built 68RFE transmission we manufacture for the Ram 6.7L Cummins trucks. To make sure that you get a transmission that's as tough as your truck, Tier One puts both the valve bodies and the entire assembled transmission through rigorous testing to ensure you get the reliability you need for heavy towing and hauling applications with your 6.7L Cummins diesel. Before the assembly of the valve body, it goes through flat-sanding vacuum-testing. All valve body solenoids are carefully tested to ensure flawless operation. After assembly of the valve body, it goes through rigorous dyno-testing to ensure proper fluid flow, line pressures, and solenoid operation. After final assembly of the transmission itself, we put it through a complete air-check to find potential leaks and ensure proper operation.
If we are not performing the transmission installation, the customer or their chosen repair shop is responsible for transferring the lock-up solenoid from the original transmission to the replacement transmission.
