Luckily, Mishimoto has developed a direct-fit transmission cooler to do just that. Our 2019+ Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 transmission cooler utilizes a tube and fin design for improved efficiency and heat dissipation. Aside from its durable construction, this transmission cooler is significantly larger than the stock core. The Mishimoto transmission cooler boasts a 266% greater core volume, and 322% greater fin surface area than the stock transmission cooler.

The included CNC-machined adapters connect directly to the stock transmission cooler lines for leak-free cooling. Direct-fit brackets and tailor-made hoses make installation easy. Like all Mishimoto products, this transmission cooler is backed by a Lifetime Warranty for worry-free cooling as long as you own it.

2024 silverado 5.3 10L80

This cooler is amazing! I installed it and tested it to compare the results before and after. I was shocked by the outcome because the weather in the UAE is very hot. During winter, the outside temperature is around 16°C at night. I drove my car for less than 30 minutes with heavy driving, and the transmission temperature reached about 100°C. At that point, the car went into safety mode, so I had to stop for 15 minutes until the temperature dropped. After the installation, I tested it in the morning when the outside temperature was over 36°C. However, the transmission temperature was only around 63-65°C. Normally, it ranges from 75-88°C. I also had to stop on the highway when I was driving at 160 km/h for 30 minutes or more. The transmission temperature typically starts to rise, and after 40 minutes, it increased from 65°C to 78°C, and it would have continued to rise if I hadn’t stopped. Overall, the difference between OEM and Mishimoto is significant, especially considering this was all done without any fans on the cooler.
