There's a ton of performance mods out there on the the aftermarket for the 2018-2024 Mustang that can give your Pony enormous levels of power in one heck of a hurry, but your factory 10R80 transmission has a few reliability issues that can really start to bite you when you stack on the horsepower and torque. The Tier One Stage 1 10R80 Transmission for the 2018-2024 Mustangs features a combination of upgraded components and new and revised OEM parts that allow the Stage 1 transmission to hold up to 600 horsepower with the reliability your Mustang needs to take it to the limit on both the street and the track. The Tier One Stage 1 Transmission can handle a full suite of bolt-on modifications like cold air intakes, throttle bodies, and tuning, as well big turbos on EcoBoost Mustangs and Stage 1 supercharger systems on the 5.0L Mustangs that stay under that 600 horsepower limit. Our Stage 1 Transmission is perfect for the do-it-all Mustang that needs excellent reliability at big power levels that the factory transmission just can't deliver. Every Stage 1 10R80 Transmission features both performance upgrades and new OEM or OE-style parts, along with custom work by Tier One to ensure that your Mustang gets a transmission that's reliable and can handle impressive levels of power. Tier One builds each Stage 1 transmission around an OEM valve body that's fitted with a RatioTek Performance Trans Tuner Kit which comes with new springs and hardware that gets your Mustang fast and accurate shifting all while improving oil flow to areas of the transmission that are usually under-lubricated when put under load. We here at Tier One also include a new SunCoast Pro-Loc torque converter that features a billet stator and handles higher horsepower levels more effectively than stock. To get the transmission even more power-holding capability, Tier One installs high-performance GPZ clutches that use a more aggressive friction material than stock. The Stage 1 10R80 transmission also comes standard with an updated OEM CDF clutch hub that has a step on the outer hub which prevents the common issue of excess CDF movement causing bushing failures that can lead to lubrication problems. To further improve reliability, Tier One includes both a new P4 gear hub and new OE-style pump bushing. We round off the Stage 1 Transmission with a new OEM filter and a cast aluminum transmission pan to help improve cooling and avoid common leaks and cracks caused by the stock pan.

We carefully inspect your transmission’s planetary geartrain for damage before fully speccing all your bearings and washers for endplay. The included rebuild kit includes new seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it’s installed on your Ford Mustang.
