There's a ton of modifications and aggressive tuning out there for the 2017-2024 F150s that can give these awesome trucks a whole ton of power in one heck of a hurry. However, the stock 10R80 transmission helping power your truck already has more than a few reliability problems that can turn into serious issues when you start to stack on the power upgrades. The Tier One Stage 2 10R80 Transmission can hold enormous levels of power, letting you use big turbos and aggressive tuning on F150 EcoBoosts and Raptors or all but the most powerful supercharger systems on 5.0L F150s. The Stage 2 10R80 transmission can handle up to 725 crankshaft horsepower, and is right at home doing heavy towing, tearing around off-road, or ripping it up at the drag strip or sled pull. On top of the Stage 2's power-holding, we here at Tier One also include a ton of reliability upgrades that alleviate common 10R80 transmission issues so that you get a performance transmission that can power your mighty F150 build for life. The Stage 2 10R80 transmission is a 100% complete transmission that drops right into place of the stock transmission without the need for any permanent modifications. The transmission will require Ford IDS programming and a transmission relearn after installation.

Every Tier One Stage 2 10R80 Transmission features a mix of performance upgrades, updated OEM parts, and OE-style components that all work together to hold massive levels of horsepower with the long-term reliability your truck needs to handle tough applications on the street, out on the trail, or down at the track. Tier One builds each Stage 2 Transmission with an OEM valve body that's fitted with a RatioTek Performance Trans Tuner Kit that comes with new springs and hardware which provide fast and accurate shifting, while generating improved oil flow throughout the transmission. We use a SunCoast Pro-Loc Torque Converter with a billet stator to handle a bunch more power than the stock torque converter. In order to get the Stage 2 10R80 transmission to hold 725 horsepower, Tier One uses high-performance GPZ clutches that have a more aggressive friction material than stock, and we also increase the clutch count by two. Every Stage 2 10R80 transmission comes with an updated Ford OEM clutch hub which features a revised outer hub with step that helps prevent movement that can cause bushing failures and lubrication problems. Tier One includes a new OEM P4 gear hub and new OE-style pump bushing to help further improve long-term reliability. Lubrication is a huge issue on the 10R80s, so our expert technicians here at Tier One drill three small holes in the P3 carrier that helps improve oil flow to the P3 clutches without compromising the strength of the carrier itself. Tier One tops each 10R80 transmission off with a new OEM filter and a cast aluminum transmission pan that helps improve cooling and is less prone to leaks and cracking than the factory pan.

All parts and components are disassembled and cleaned from our OEM cores to ensure your new 10R80 transmission is free from contaminants and other debris. We carefully inspect your transmission’s planetary geartrain for damage before fully speccing all your bearings and washers for endplay. The included rebuild kit includes new seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it’s installed on your Ford F150 truck.
