About 2013-2018 Ram 2500 & 3500 6.7L Cummins Torque Converters

The stock torque converter on your tough Ram 6.7L Cummins build isn't much to write home about. It features a pretty bog-standard single-disc internal design with a cast steel cover, and while this is generally fine for street driving at factory power levels, it's a lot less fine when your Ram is rocking a whole bunch of extra power and torque or when you're towing extremely heavy. The factory torque converter can suffer from cracking, warping, and burn-up when put under enough load. The good news is that there's a lot of performance torque converters available for the 6.7L Cummins Rams that can hold more power and handle more extreme applications than stock without letting you down.

Types of Ram 6.7L Cummins Torque Converters

There's a several different types of Ram torque converters available that can hold different levels of power and come in at different price points so that you can find the torque converter that's perfect for your Ram 6.7L Cummins build or your budget.

Billet triple-disc torque converters are strong enough to handle extreme power and applications, making them the go-to torque converter for Rams throwing down serious levels of power and torque. Granted, these torque converters are so strong that they can cause issues with your Ram's stock input shaft.
