The Ford 10R80 is an extremely impressive piece of automotive technology, but it's also extremely complex and known to have more than a few weak points that can lead to serious problems. The Tier One 10R80 HD Tow Transmission for the 2017-2024 F150s features a bunch of new and updated OEM parts, along with some new performance hardware and custom work by Tier One to greatly improve its reliability over a standard stock 10R80 transmission while letting you tow heavier and add a bit more power and torque to your truck over stock. The Tier One HD Tow transmission is the perfect choice if your truck is having common 10R80 issues or has experienced a serious 10R80 transmission failure and needs to get back on the road. The Tier One HD Tow 10R80 Transmission will keep your awesome F150 build running strong on the street or out in the dirt, letting you tackle heavy towing or aggressive street driving without letting you down. The HD Tow Transmission was designed for near-stock levels of power, but can handle mild tuning and bolt-on mods like cold air intakes, throttle bodies, The Tier One 10R80 HD Tow transmission is a 100% complete transmission that drops right into place of your F150's factory transmission without any permanent modifications to your truck. Ford IDS programming at either a Ford Service Center or IDS-equipped shop will be required.

In order to improve reliability over the stock 10R80 transmission and get you some extra power-holding, Tier One uses a combination of aftermarket performance transmission parts, updated OEM components, OE-replacement parts, and custom work by Tier One's expert technicians. Tier One builds each 10R80 HD Tow transmission around a RatioTek Trans Tuner Valve body kit that includes new springs and other hardware that improves fluid flow and lubrication to all the parts of the transmission that can get oil-starved during heavy towing, aggressive street driving, or high-angled off-road trail riding. We here at Tier One include a new OEM torque converter to replace your worn stock converter. The CDF drum is a big pain point in the Ford 10R80 transmission, and Tier One uses the updated OEM CDF drum, which includes a stepped outer drum that prevents movement that can ruin the stock bushings and block fluid flow. We also add a new OE-style pump bushing and new OEM P4 gear hub to help further improve reliability. To further improve fluid flow and lubrication, Tier One drills three small holes in the P3 carrier whose clutches tend to get under-lubricated when under load. The P3 holes are small enough to not compromise the strength of the carrier, but large enough to increase fluid flow and improve reliability. To complete our overhaul, we here at Tier One install new OE-style clutches, seals, and gaskets.

The included rebuild kit includes new seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it’s installed on your Ford F150 truck.
