The mighty 6.4L Powerstroke or Triton V10 under the hood of your 2008-2010 Ford Super Duty is extremely capable of towing heavy, tearing it up on the street, or dominating out in the dirt. However, the stock 5R110W transmission helping to power your F250 or F350 truck has a few notable quirks that can make hard use even at factory levels of horsepower and torque a bit of dice roll. Tier One's Complete HD Tow 5R110W Transmission features a combination of OEM and aftermarket upgrades that all work together to give your awesome F250 or F350 improved reliability when towing heavy, ripping around out in the dirt, or hitting the street. The Tier One HD Tow transmission fixes common problem areas on the stock 5R110W transmissions so that your truck gets cooler operating temperatures, leak prevention, and improved reliability all in one place. The Tier One HD Tow transmission is a 100% complete, drop-in transmission that doesn't require any tuning or other permanent modifications to your truck.

Each Tier One HD Tow 5R110W transmission comes with a bunch of aftermarket improvements and fixes, as well as new OEM components, so that you get a rock-solid transmission for your awesome Super Duty truck. Tier One includes a new stock-style torque converter to start over fresh from your factory torque converter. We install a thermal bypass kit that improves cooling by allowing transmission fluid to flow through your transmission cooler, regardless of actual transmission fluid temperatures. We here at Tier One also throw in a new transmission bushing kit to replace the OEM bushings which are subject to excessive levels of wear during hard driving. To prevent the common issue of leaks and whining from the front of the transmission, Tier One includes a pump vent leak prevention kit. The HD Tow Transmission is also fitted with an ATS Improved Filler Tube Kit that replaces the leak-prone stock dipstick tube with a two-piece billet aluminum design with built-in O-rings for improved sealing. Tier One welds the coast drums of each transmission to help prevent failures under high levels of load. The 5R110W HD Tow Transmission also receives a complete 5R110W banner kit with new clutches and internal seals to give you clean shifting and maximum reliability. We include a performance valve body that can handle higher line pressures than stock to deliver fluid to all of your critical transmission components under high loads. The transmission gets a deep, cast aluminum transmission pan that holds more fluid than stock and helps to improve cooling. Tier One fits every 5R110W transmission with a new Ford OEM wiring harness to provide excellent levels of reliability for years to come.

We carefully inspect your transmission’s planetary geartrain for damage before fully speccing all your bearings and washers for endplay. Tier One includes a new OEM wiring harness to help mitigate potential wiring issues. The included rebuild kit includes new seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it’s installed on your Ford Super Duty F250 or F350 truck.

All valve body solenoids are carefully tested to ensure flawless operation. After assembly of the valve body, it goes through rigorous dyno-testing to ensure proper fluid flow, line pressures, and solenoid operation. After final assembly of the transmission itself, we put it through a complete air-check to find potential leaks before a final inspection and shipping out.

Recommended gearing: the following gearing is recommended for the following tire sizes, and is required for Tier One to honor your warranty:
- 35" Tire: 3.73 gears or higher
- 37" Tire: 4.10 gears or higher
- +38" Tire: 4.56 gears or higher
