Built Ford 5R110W Transmission that can Handle a Ton of Power and Extremely Aggressive Applications both On and Off-Road
Your big, bad 2005-2007 Super Duty is capable of churning out a ton more horsepower and torque with relatively few mods, especially if you have a 6.0L Powerstroke V8. However, the stock 5R110W transmission can struggle to keep up, especially if you're adding on some serious Powerstroke tuning, turbo upgrades, oversized injectors, exhaust upgrades, and other bolt-on performance parts to really crank your power numbers up. The Tier One Stage 2 5R110W transmission can handle extremely heavy towing, aggressive street driving, tough off-road trails, sled pulls, and even light drag racing use while holding more power than stock. The Stage 2 is an excellent choice for a general-purpose Super Duty build that needs a transmission that can handle everything your tough truck needs to do on and off the pavement. Each one of our Stage 2 5R110W transmissions is 100% complete and is a drop-in replacement for the factory transmission that doesn't require any permanent modifications or additional tuning.

The 5R110W Stage 2 Transmission comes loaded down with improved internal and external components that allow the transmission to hold a whole bunch of power, even in extremely tough street, track, and off-road applications. The Stage 2 Transmission comes with a billet multi-disc torque converter that's more resistant to warping and cracking than stock when under high levels of load. The billet torque converter is paired with a 300M billet input shaft that's far more resistant to shearing and twisting than the factory cast steel input shaft at extremely high horsepower levels. Every Stage 2 transmission comes with a thermal bypass kit that improves cooling by allowing fluid to flow through your truck's transmission cooler, regardless of actual temperature. The Stage 2 transmission also comes with new transmission bushings to help improve long-term reliability. The Stage 2 transmission comes standard with a pump vent leak prevention kit that helps you avoid the common 5R110W pump vent leak that can lead to extra wear and noise. The Stage 2 transmission gets a full set of GPZ performance clutches that feature improved friction surfaces over stock to help the transmission hold more power and torque. Tier One includes a welded coast drum with each Stage 2 transmission to help prevent failures when under high levels of load. Each Stage 2 has an ATS Filler Tube Kit that features a two-piece billet construction with built-in seals to prevent dipstick tube leaks. Tier One includes a performance valve body that can handle high line pressures and load so that all the critical parts of your Stage 2 5R110W transmission stay adequately lubricated. The transmission comes with a cast aluminum deep transmission pan that has more fluid capacity than stock to help provide excellent levels of cooling. The Stage 2 Transmission is topped off with a new OEM wiring harness to help provide some extra reliability.

All parts and components are disassembled and cleaned from our OEM cores to ensure your new 5R110W transmission is free from contaminants and other debris. We carefully inspect your transmission’s planetary geartrain for damage before fully speccing all your bearings and washers for endplay. Tier One includes a new OEM wiring harness to help mitigate potential wiring issues. The included rebuild kit includes new seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it’s installed on your Ford Super Duty F250 or F350 truck.

To make sure you get a built 5R110W transmission that’s as tough as your truck, Tier One puts the valve bodies and entire assembled transmissions through rigorous testing to ensure you get the reliability you need for heavy towing and hauling applications with your 6.0L Powerstroke diesel. All valve body solenoids are carefully tested to ensure flawless operation. After assembly of the valve body, it goes through rigorous dyno-testing to ensure proper fluid flow, line pressures, and solenoid operation. After final assembly of the transmission itself, we put it through a complete air-check to find potential leaks before a final inspection and shipping out.

Recommended gearing: the following gearing is recommended for the following tire sizes, and is required for Tier One to honor your warranty:
- 35" Tire: 3.73 gears or higher
- 37" Tire: 4.10 gears or higher
