If you're putting together one of the toughest Duramax trucks on your block, you're going to need an Allison 1000 transmission that can handle serious levels of horsepower and torque. The Tier One Stage 2 Allison 1000 Transmission for 2004-2005 Silverado or Sierra HD Duramax 6.6L LLY trucks can hold huge levels of power, which lets you stack powerful larger turbos, oversized injectors, exhaust upgrades, and powerful Duramax tunes onto your awesome truck without needing to worry about your Allison transmission letting you down. Each Tier One Stage 2 Allison transmission can hold up to 900 horsepower and are right at home doing tough work and having rough fun both on and off the pavement. Each Tier One Stage 2 Allison 1000 Transmission comes with a whole host of upgraded components that let the transmission handle a ton of power and hard use. The Stage 2 Allison transmission starts with a billet triple-disc torque converter that's far more resistant to warping and burn-up than the factory converter. The converter mates with a TCS billet input shaft made from 9310 Vacumelt steel that's far more resistant to cracking and shearing than the factory cast input shaft. Tier One includes a TCS billet C2 clutch hub that can handle much higher loads than stock, and Tier One properly machines the P1 sun gear for fitment of the TCS hub. Each Stage 2 Allison transmission comes with a high-pressure valve body fitted with a RatioTek valve body kit which can handle high line pressures while both properly feeding the transmission fluid and getting firm, but accurate and fast shifts. Tier One outfits each Stage 2 transmission with a Performance Rebuild Kit that includes additional clutches for the C1, C2, C3, and C4 clutch packs to ensure proper clamping force and power-holding when under extreme load. Tier One also includes a cast aluminum, deep transmission pan with increased fluid capacity for improved cooling during hard operation. To help improve long-term reliability, Tier One installs a new OEM internal wiring harness, new OEM PCS solenoids, new OEM switch manifold, and new filter. The Stage 2 transmission is topped off with a billet PTO cover with "Tier One" lettering and C3 oiler upgrade for improved transmission lubrication. The transmission receives new gaskets and seals before being air-checked for potential leaks.

During our build of your Allison Stage 2 transmission, we here at Tier One go over every millimeter of its internal components to guarantee excellent function and reliability. All parts are disassembled and cleaned from our OEM cores to ensure your new Allison 1000 transmission is free from contaminants and other debris. We carefully inspect your transmission’s planetary gear train for damage before fully speccing all bearings and washers for endplay. The valve body is and its solenoids are thoroughly inspected for better than OEM function. The performance rebuild kit includes new clutches, seals, gaskets, and sealing rings to replace all the wearable parts of the transmission before it’s installed on your Silverado or Sierra 2500 or 3500.
Thorough Testing of the Valve Body and Entire Transmission Before Shipping
We here at Tier One take pride in every built Allison 1000 transmission we manufacture for the GM 6.6L LLY Duramax trucks. To make sure that you get a transmission that’s as tough as your truck, Tier One puts both the valve bodies and the entire assembled transmission through rigorous testing to ensure you get the reliability you need for heavy towing and hauling applications with your 6.6L Duramax diesel. Before the assembly of the valve body, it goes through careful inspection and vacuum-testing. All valve body solenoids are carefully tested to ensure flawless operation. After assembly of the valve body, it goes through rigorous dyno-testing to ensure proper fluid flow, line pressures, and solenoid operation. After final assembly of the transmission itself, we put it through a complete air-check to find potential leaks.
