Ram 2500 and 3500s that are built to dominate their competition down at the track are going to need a high-performance and high-strength valve body that's going to let you launch off the line to kill those 60ft times. The Tier One Full Manual Valve Body with Transmission Brake for 2003-2007 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks with 48RE transmissions not only handles a bunch more power than your factory 48RE valve body, it also gives you full control over your Ram's shifting and track launches so that you can both leap off the line and keep your truck in its power band while you fly down the track. The 48RE trans brake manual valve body from Tier One is perfect for high-powered track trucks that need total transmission control while stacking on the power. Our 48RE manual valve body with trans brake can handle compound turbos, custom exhausts, nitrous or water-meth injection, and whatever othr bolt-on parts you can find for your track-ready 5.9L Cummins build. Tier One's 48RE Trans Brake Manual Valve Body comes with all the upgrades it needs to handle a tremendous amount of horsepower and torque, while giving you both manual shifting and complete manual transmission brake functionality all in one place. The Full Manual Trans Brake valve body is built around a TransGo Full Manual Reprogramming Kit that includes new springs and hardened valves that allow for constant fluid flow through the valve body so that your transmission is ready to shift at any time. The valve body also features both upper and lower manual separator plates to provide full manual control. In order to provide the transmission braking functionality, Tier One includes a Billet governor plate, billet transmission brake block solenoid, and a transmission brake valve. Tier One also includes wiring so that you can tie the trans brake functionality into your shifter of choice. For shoring up the rest of the valve body against potential failures, Tier One adds a heavy-duty transducer with a brass base and its required wiring to replace the plastic stock transducer. We also install a heavy-duty steel governor solenoid that replaces the weak plastic governor that can fail under high loads. Each Full-Manual Trans Brake 48RE Valve Body is topped off with OE-style solenoids and a new OE-style filter to give you improved reliability. Every 48RE Trans Brake Full Manual Valve Body is flat-sanded and its solenoids tested for better-than-OEM function. After final assembly, the valve body is tested on our in-house valve body dyno to ensure it's functioning reliably before we ship it out.

Requires Manual Shifter: this valve body changes your 48RE transmission operation from automatic to full manual control. Your factory automatic shifter is NOT COMPATIBLE with this valve body, and you'll require a manual shifter for proper operation. Tier One recommends the
Precision Performance Qwik-Shift Shifter, though other shifters may work. Tier One also offers our own
manual shifter handle for use with the Qwik-Shift.
For 2003-2007 Ram 2500 & 3500 Only: this valve body will only fit 2003-2007 Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks that came from the factory with a 48RE transmission. A version of this valve body for older 47RE transmissions is also available. If you have a 2007.5 Ram built after July 2007 with a 6.7L Cummins, please check out our

Requires Core Charge: this valve body requires a $500 core charge which will be refunded back to you after Tier One receives your stock valve body.
